Lunch? A Movie? A Little Preemption?

Next Wednesday, the Center for American Progress will host a film screening and panel discussion entitled “Protecting America from Unsafe Drugs and Medical Devices: Federal Preemption or Consumer Protection?”

This mid-day event will focus on the impacts and policy implications of the recent Supreme Court decision in Wyeth v. Levine, as well as last term’s ruling in Riegel v. Medtronic,; CAC filed amicus briefs in both cases. Next Wednesday’s event will feature a short documentary about federal preemption, as well as the following panel:
