Washington, DC – Constitutional Accountability Center is building on the strength of its public interest law firm – which has filed 11 amicus briefs between the certiorari and merits stages at the U.S. Supreme Court this Term – with the addition of Brianne J. Gorod as Appellate Counsel. 

“We are thrilled to welcome Brianne to CAC,” said President and Founder Doug Kendall. “She is a stellar addition to our already outstanding litigation team.  Her combination of experience and intellect makes her uniquely qualified to spearhead our Supreme Court review project.” 

Gorod joins CAC from private practice at O’Melveny & Myers (OMM), where she was Counsel in the firm’s Supreme Court and appellate practice. Following a term as law clerk for Justice Stephen Breyer on the U.S. Supreme Court, Gorod served as an Attorney-Adviser in the Office of Legal Counsel at the U.S. Department of Justice.  She also served as a law clerk for Judge Robert A. Katzmann on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, as well as for Judge Jed S. Rakoff on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.  Gorod, who received her J.D. from Yale Law School and her M.A. and B.S. from Emory University, has had her academic writings published in the Yale Law Journal, the Duke Law Journal, the Northwestern University Law Review, the American University Law Review, and the Yale Law & Policy Review.
