More than 190 Democratic members of Congress are filing suit against President Trump, claiming he violated the Constitution’s emoluments clause with his real estate empire, according to a report.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) is filing the complaint against the President on Wednesday and has invited the House GOP to join the lawsuit, the Washington Post reported.

The case follows the joint-effort by Democratic attorneys general for Maryland and the District of Columbia to sue Trump for alleged corruption as well. That lawsuit was filed Tuesday and also argues that the President continues to benefit from the Trump Organization’s assets.

The emolument clause prohibits federal office holders from taking payouts from foreign governments.
