TV (ABCNews.com) Clarence Thomas on Growing Up as a ‘Minority Within a Minority Within a Minority’

Although he doesn’t pose questions from the bench, Justice Clarence Thomas spoke eloquently at the National Archives last night about law, faith, race and his colleagues on the Court. The event was in honor of the 225th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution.
Explaining his background Thomas said: “I was Catholic. You talk about a minority within a minority within a minority. I was a black Catholic in Savannah, Georgia.
The program was sponsored by two groups on opposite ends of the ideological spectrum: The Federalist Society and the Constitutional Accountability Center.
