Michelle Berger

Douglas T. Kendall Fellow

Michelle is the 2025-2026 Douglas T. Kendall Fellow at the Constitutional Accountability Center.

Previously, Michelle served as a law clerk for Judge Jane M. Beckering on the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan. Michelle graduated from Harvard Law School cum laude in 2024. There, she represented home renters through the Tenant Advocacy Project, contributed to the OnLabor blog, and served as an editor on the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review. Michelle conducted research for several professors and in support of her own scholarship on the topic of state constitutional rights. She completed legal internships with Public Citizen, the United States Department of Labor’s Office of the Solicitor, and the National Labor Relations Board.

Prior to law school, Michelle worked at EAB. There, she conducted and managed research to support higher education institutions and public school districts throughout the country. Michelle graduated from the George Washington University, summa cum laude, with a B.A. in Sociology in 2018. Her undergraduate thesis focused on the intersection of poverty and stress.
