On April 27, 2017, the day after the Supreme Court concluded its final oral arguments for the 2016-17 Term, Constitutional Accountability Center and a panel of experts assembled at the National Press Club to discuss key cases and themes that have emerged, as well as the nomination of Justice Neil Gorsuch and how the Court fared with eight Justices. The discussion featured Amy Howe of SCOTUSBlog and AmyHowe.com as moderator, with Munger Tolles & Olson partner — and former U.S. Solicitor General — Donald B. Verrilli, Kirkland & Ellis partner Erin Murphy, NAACP Legal Defense Fund Assistant Counsel Ajmel Quereshi, and CAC Chief Counsel Brianne Gorod, following opening remarks by CAC President Elizabeth Wydra.
